About the Lenormand

A 36-card system built from an 1799 German parlour game, named after a famous French card-reader.

Lenormand cards are read almost entirely in combination. A single card states a plain fact; meaning comes from the pair or line it sits in - Ship plus Coffin reads very differently from Ship plus Heart. Reversals are not traditionally used.
